Light Art And Steel Art Lamp Base
The glass triangle for this steel sculpture lamp base is engraved using a high speed diamond drill. It was done free-hand.

The color you see in the triangle is created by shining light emitting diodes into the edge of the glass.

The multi color rainbows you see are created by shining light emitting diodes onto burnished steel; the light you see is reflected by the steel.

In creating my light art sculptures, I try to prevent you from seeing the source of light; I only want you to see the light as it interacts with the other medium of the art.

The steel used on this sculpture was cut from the dented up steel bracket that was used to support the motor of a discarded air compressor.
