Led Cane And El Wire Coat
This was the first long lighted clear plastic raincoat that I made. I made this during the fall and winter of 2008. It took about 3 months to make.

This used El Wire (electrolumenescent wire), which was the technology that I used prior to using LED's and fiber optics.

the cane is a clear acrylic cane that I bought on line. I then drilled holes in it to insert LED's. Unfortunately, I had weakend the cane and it broke in half shortly after I took this picture.

After two years, I had to retire this coat because the El Wires are too fragile to use in garments that are actively worn.
