I commute about 20 miles per day by bicycle. This allow me to see in detail what is tossed into the shoulders of our roads by cars that fall apart and by people who just don't care. I find all kinds of usefull metal out there; lug bolts, washers, tools, even pieces of silverware.
Estage sales and thrift store are also sources. In fact, some of the metal in these pieces has been given to me free by estate sales (percieved as junk) or bicycle shops (replaced parts that are about to be thrown away).
My abilities in tig welding, grinding, bending, and cutting the steel; along with an artistic vision; enable me to take this scrap metal and let it be re-born into pieces of art and sculpture
