This cape has bright lights in the hem that are specifically intended to shine spots of light down onto the ground where I stand.
As I walk on sidewalks, floors, carpets, wet pavement, and snow, the effect on the light change.
Being a light artists, it is my desire to show the light as it interacts on other medium; whether it be metal, glass, plastic, or the sidewalk on which I walk.
I do not want you to see the lights themselves. I want you to see the magic of the light interacting with other media. If I want you to see nothing but lights, I would have walked around town wearing strings of Christmas light; not a piece of art such as this garment.
